Of the 6 keys results against a target for children by UNICEF and partners through the first eight months of 2019, education was the lowest at 34% (vs. health at 89%). Despite a concerted global effort to support the underprivileged, poor, and orphans, a multitude of constraints such as limited humanitarian funds, challenging operating environments, and limited capacities of implementing partners just to name a few, hampered these efforts.
 
This just goes to show that when it comes to creating further opportunities for children through education, there is always more that could and can be done. As the great Nelson Mandela once said, education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. I passionately believe that education is truly the way towards a brighter future - it is the foundation in which famine and conflict are eroded, where innovation and breakthroughs are discovered, and hopeful, young individuals become great leaders.                                                                                                                                                             - Joni Lee
